My blog on 50 Shades of Gray – Book 1
This was the first time I had read an adult romance, and to be honest, it was rather disturbing! It is an interesting story and has a great start to the book, but as you turn the pages and you start to read the scenarios in the book, you realise that the book is not as mysterious as it looks. IT’S ALL IN FULL VIVID DETAIL! It just jumps straight into it! Without going in to any detail i'm going to write my opinion on this book. I picked the book up while out shopping with my mum and only because I was attracted to its dark mysterious looking front cover, almost like a twilight novel. Although it was only the front cover that attracted me, I had no intention of reading the book. However, family and many friends were reading this book and I just had to see what the fuss is all about. The first few chapters were not as shocking to me as the rest. As I read on, I started to realise… this was not a book, it was porn! Even though the book wasn’t really in my likings, I really needed to know what happens at the end! Yes I did read the book, but I will not agree to read the other two. No way! The book is plain rude and gross and that is not something I have interest in.
To be honest, I was quite surprised women wrote this book. Not to sound sexist or anything like that but I’d actually expect a male to write a book of this sort because of the strange sexual scenes Grey has with Miss Steele.
But yes, it was a female...just shows how sensational women are these days and they prefer just as imaganative sex as men do. In my opinion, 50 shades of gray is a nice girls nasty book. For a person who loves very extreme sex scenes, this is the book for you! However, if your the sort of person who gets grossed out over reading about these sort of scenes with exact detail, this is so not the book for you! Gray makes Anna sign a contract with him where she has to be his sex slave with no conditions.For a 27year old business man, he sure does have different interests. For a man like he is described as at the beginning, Stylish, classy, smart,i would not expect him to think of such weird scenarios. Obviously he is a devil in disguise.I don't even think its romantic, its WEIRD! To top it all of, as 3 books weren't enough, theres now a 4th one coming out! To all those who wish to read it.. good luck to you.. who knows what E.L. James has in store for you next.
